If you remember my story that I posted during Indonesian Primate Day (check out the tarsier picture on my feed), when I said there's a species of bat that keeps making noise and inviting a bunch of tarsiers to the camp, this is the bat that I'm talking about.

The classic Malayopython reticulatus/ Reticulated python - Sanca kembang

Met this one just few steps away from my apartment parking lot. Herping night with @rahmat_mukorobin, @tio_june, and @risqinantii. At that time, we were just starting and still preparing our headlamps when I almost stepped on this pretty snake (got a lil heart attack there). Thank God, Robin, who was in front of me, didn't actually step on it :')

For starter, thanks to @nathanrusli_wildlife that spotted this magnificent Oriental Bay Owl (𝑃ℎ𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑢𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑢𝑠 or Serak Bukit).

Thank god i bring my camera. This bird is not even moving when i and @ontaliarr trying to get close to it. That why i was able to get this close up pic of the owl's face.

Say hi to an undescribed species of tarsier from North Buton!

Quick story about this photo:
That night we got a big bat captured in our mist net, which is an individual of Harpyionycteris celebensis. That time is the first time we got that bat during our entire month of camp. While identifying that bat, it keeps making noise and somehow inviting a bunch of tarsier to our camp. It's about 6 - 8 individuals of tarsiers! They jump around in the higher strata of the trees. Kinda hard to see but we can hear them squeaking. Lucky me, I was able to take a picture of one of them.
